Zbrush Playaround 03

Got into using the Zpheres to help create a more unique looking sculpt. He's really rough right now but I'm diggin this little guy and his back appendages. I also played around and made a new Z-sphere character to play with later when I have free time again.

Zbrush Playaround 02

Still getting used to using Zbrush. I like to sneak some practicing when I don't have too much work to do. Whenever I have free time though from now on I plan on working on this guy and actually finishing him up.

Zbrush PlayAround 01

After getting some great advice on using the Zbrush program from a friend I was able to get the hang of finally sculpting. I'm going to have a lot of fun practicing with this!

Sculptris Playaround

Sculptris is a really fantastic sculpting program and I continually have a blast playing around with it and the few tools it has. If my laptop didn't keep overheating from using the program though I'd actually get at least one sculpture completed. So this here is basically a build up and practice for getting the figure of my character down first and foremost. No neat lines or details, exact anatomy, just the nitty gritty sculpt. I seem to have punched the poor guy in the face with the flatten tool though and forgot to undo it before saving.

Pre-Grunt Sculpt

So this is actually a little old but I had made this guy as a pre-sculpt concept for my Grunt before I got to my final idea for the actual project. He's about 4" long and 3" tall. While my Grunt project ended up coming out way different this was the original idea that ended up being heavily modified since it didn't fit the bipedal form that was required for our designs.

Sluggernaut

My old grandpa of a laptop can't seem to handle working with 3D sculpting programs so I'm stuck slowly and painfully sculpting this poor guy until I can get to a better computer.

Grunt Final: Plague Runner

For our 3D-Design final we had to come up with and construct a Grunt video game enemy.I went with this design for a creature which would carry a lethal virus payload on it's back and help spread the main game's enemy force spread plagues. He's what I've dubbed a Plague Runner.I really enjoyed coming up with the idea and actually sculpting the guy.If I had more time I would have loved to have made him some needle guns for accessories.

Chess Set Project

For or first project in 3D-Design we were teased with coming up with and sculpting a chess set. The catch was our designs had to get the idea of the main chess pieces appearance and their functions/ movements in play across. I had quite a few ideas for the set but I went with chess golems which were symbolic of each particular piece on the board and their functions.
